New contributor to Jane Olson’s Ruggers Roundtable

I am proud to be offering these sheepskin hats, made for 30 years by my mother, Susan Bradford. I am now an apprentice and am learning the art of sewing sheepskin. These handcrafted creations are made from the softest Icelandic sheepskins currently being tanned in Spain. The pliability of these skins allow me to use countless innovative techniques such as gathering, pleating and facing which could not be done with the traditional thick and stiff sheepskin. Trims range from velvets, shearling, lamb, to quilted lamb suede. Many of the hats are decorated with velvet flowers and lamb suede leaves which are handmade.
